Job Description
The Maintenance Technician is a full-time position that typically works a Monday through Friday schedule under the general direction of the Business Manager or the Director of Environmental Services. Several times a month the schedule will require working an evening or weekend shift, but those days and times are flexible.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the performance of maintenance and repairs of building, equipment and common areas including regular carpet cleaning of common areas
- Maintain/assist in the keeping of maintenance records and equipment records as required
- Maintain work/storage areas in an organized and clean condition
- Perform other duties as directed
Qualifications
- Documented experience doing carpentry, drywall, framing, tiling, painting, and minor plumbing and electrical plus small equipment maintenance is required with 2 years of experience preferred
- High standard of integrity and professionalism
- Must have a valid driver’s license with valid vehicle insurance
- Must be in good physical condition with no limits on bending, stooping, walking, standing, and ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Must be able to use and climb a ladder
- Must be able to read and write in English and communicate effectively, orally and in writing, with residents, staff, visitors, vendors, etc.
