Our House
Each of our rooms comes with a beautiful view and immediate access to the quaint hallways that line the building. Included in each room is a private bathroom, a nursing station “call” button, a bed, closet, and some additional furniture. Residents are welcome, and in fact encouraged, to bring personal items from home. Each room is cable and telephone ready.
Our Gardens
Our gardens are an incredibly tranquil place to take a nature stroll with a friend, or relax on the benches or in the gazebo with a family member. There are plenty of walkways to explore, or you can just to sit and watch the squirrels. On the other side of the fence one may hear the trickles from Strawberry Creek.

After visiting a few skilled nursing facilities, your worst fears are confirmed as you encounter hospital-like atmospheres, harried caregivers, crowded rooms shared by three or four residents, and minimal activities programs. You wonder how can this be? There must be a better alternative.
When you approach Chaparral House you are shocked, but this time pleasantly. Our single-story home-like building with high ceilings is flooded with light from every direction. Our architecture provides every room a pleasant view of our extensive gardens, featuring walkways, a gazebo, and benches for relaxation and visits with family and friends.
As you enter the cheerful, home-like living room, you find some elders enjoying the beautiful view of Chaparral’s bright gardens and verdant lawns. Others are engrossed in a stimulating activity led by Chaparral’s lively Activities Staff and volunteers. Elsewhere, you see Residents enjoying the company of visiting dogs, as well as sitting in the gazebo in the garden. As your visit continues, Chaparral’s uniqueness continues to unfold: a cozy environment with just 25 private and 12 semi-private rooms, programs and services from a wide variety of spiritual traditions, a vibrant volunteer program, and an extensive activities program featuring discussion groups, trips, art and music.
You quickly see that Chaparral’s Residents enjoy the highest possible levels of individuality, independence, freedom of choice, and privacy within the safest possible environment.
