Chaparral House is seeking a California licensed hairdresser/stylist to provide services on site
Help brighten an elder’s day with a fresh hairstyle! Chaparral House has up to 49 elders who live on site and would love to get their hair done. Services provided in the past included men’s and women’s haircuts, styling and blowdries, basic manicures, beard trims, hair color, and perms.
We typically have the need for services approximately one day per week but demand can vary and our schedule is flexible.
Our ideal candidate would enjoy working with elders and be compassionate to the needs of people who have dementia. We ask that you are able to commit to at least one year of service, and that you bring your own supplies. We do have a small recently remodeled salon suite room with a sink basin and mirrors. You would be paid as a 1099 contractor, receiving 100% of the cost of your services based on an agreed upon price list.
Due to the medically fragile population we care for, we would like our contractors to be fully vaccinated. COVID-19 protocols including masking continue to be required at skilled nursing facilities in California until public health authorities alter their guidance.
