New Community Partner

Pacific Coast Community Services (PCCS) is Chaparral House’s newest community partner. PCCS is a non-profit organization, whose mission is to provide training and long-term employment for veterans, persons with disabilities, and those re-entering the workforce.

Through their training and development service programs, PCCS will provide professional teachers and coaches for a variety of new activities programs at Chapparal including art, music, writing and senses and memory enhancement projects. PCCS clients will attend these activities with our residents. PCCS supervisors and Chaparral staff and volunteers will also participate.

Sui Ming, Chaparral’s Activities Director said, “This will allow us to expand our activities offerings, with new programs led by professionals. It also gives our residents a chance to interact with and be seen by the larger community. We feel lucky to have the chance to work with PCCS!”
